Femtocell Hardware Design
Benetel have worked with pioneering femtocell startups since 2006 providing femtocell architecture design and board design for CDMA2000 1xEVDO and UMTS products. Benetel worked with clients from the feasibility stage through to mass production. Key skills include system architecture, antenna design, circuit design, calibration techniques, design validation and test solutions.
Femtocell Test Solutions
Benetel provide test solutions for femtocell products covering the full product development cycle from R&D to volume production. Three different solutions address:
- Air interface compliance testing during development
- Pilot product run testing
- Full mass production test solutions.
Their full product range is described in more detail on their website.
Benetel's FAST automated test control system can remotely control measurement equipment from vendors such as Rohde and Schwarz, Agilent and others to perform a sequence of automated tests in a controlled and efficient manner, then collating a full test report of the results. Versions are available for WCDMA, HSPA(+) and CDMA2000.
Benetel’s NPI system is a scalable low cost entry to femtocell production test. The latest version of this configuration tests designs based on PicoChip PC302/PC312 chipsets.
Benetel's BTS-114 femtocell test solution is a flexible hardware and software platform, designed to maximize throughput with sufficient versatility to test UMTS, CDMA200, HSPA+ and, in future, LTE. The system can be configured for basic functional test, RF calibration, RF test, application code download and final functional test.
Partnership with Rhode and Schwarz
Benetel announced a partnership with Rohde and Schwarz where they provide complementary test solutions for the femtocell industry in March 2010.
