RF chipsets are used to convert between radio signal and the baseband frequency used by the main baseband chipset to decode/encode the transmissions. With femtocells operating at many different frequency bands and bandwidths, these need to be very adaptable to cater for the different needs. If additional, higher RF power is required, a separate RF amplifier can be used to boost the signal further. |
