Femtocell Convergence Server
| Unique to the CDMA network architecture, the FCS (Femtocell Convergence Server) handles all the signalling between femtocells while appearing to the rest of the core network as another voice switch or MSC (Mobile Switching Center). This network element is specified in the 3GPP2 standards relating to 3G CDMA femtocells and was first deployed by Sprint in their network during 2010. | |
