M-SensisM-Sensis is a Greek software company founded in 2007 which provides a range of supporting software systems for network operators using their "Flexy" platform. The company is part of the wider Innova group, primarily selling into European networks.

Their self-care femtocell solution provides much of the back-office integration required to configure/provision femtocells and update with customer information. It integrates with the Access Point Home Register (APHR), the customer care centre and web portal. The system is used

  • by maintenance engineers and operations teams to register and provision new femtocells onto the network, upgrade software and report on status
  • by customer care representatives, to view the status of individual customer femtocells, update/revise the "white list" of permitted users and change the recorded location
  • by customers themselves, to update their own femtocell "white list" and other customer specific information through the network operator's portal.

This back-office functionality typically requires some configuration and adaption to fit in with each network operator's own systems. The format and design of customer self-care screens is likely to require some adaption.

The M-Sensis platform is designed to be easily configurable and therefore a lower cost/lower risk option than a complete custom software project. The company provides professional services to install, configure and enhance the system to meet specific requirements.

The system is believed to be installed at Vodafone Greece and Vodafone Netherlands supporting Huawei femtocell systems deployed there.
