cbnl logo 150CBNL was founded in Cambridge UK in 2000, and is privately held with venture capital funding. The company specialises in Point-to-Multipoint microwave backhaul products, and grew rapidly from 2005 onwards.

Products

Their VectaStar brand provides data rates up to 1Gbit/s, with a typical sector capacity of 300Mbit/s full duplex. This is shared between multiple receivers and connects a cluster of small cells, typically in a metrocell deployment.

History

CBNL was the first backhaul company to join the Small Cell Forum in 2012.

Heavily involved in the development of the NGMN (Next Generation Mobile Network) requirements specification for small cell backhaul, published June 2012.

Announced participation in Telefonica O2's Wi-Fi small cell network deployed in Central London for the Olympics.
